Description

Number 6 in Market Place is a building dating from 1805, marked by the datestone "BK 1805". It is constructed of flint with red brick dressings and features a pantile roof with gabled ends. The building has brick dentil eaves and stands two storeys tall. On the west side, there are four widely spaced windows, which are two-light casements with glazing bars. Originally, the structure comprised three cottages, but it has since been converted into one dwelling, with some doorways now blocked. Additionally, there are stone carvings set into the wall, likely sourced from the nearby Priory.
