Description

Monteagle is a mid-19th century house of yellow brick, built over two storeys with an attic. The slate roof is punctuated by three gabled dormers and features a coved eaves cornice. A splayed entrance porch leads to the front, with a window positioned above it on the first floor. Two two-storey splay bay windows flank the front, each featuring sash windows with central glazing bars. The listed buildings of The Buttlands (West side) form a group, as does Monteagle with the adjoining Yew Tree House.
