Description

Number 46 on High Street is a late 18th-century building that stands two storeys tall. It features two sash windows with glazing bars and gauged flat arches on the first floor. The structure is made of painted brick and has a parapet with a coping. The roof is covered with pantiles. The shop front, dating from the late 18th century, has a bow shape and is supported by slender fluted columns. Inside, you can find 18th-century paneling, hewn beams, a keep plate, and a launching arch, along with a three-centred arch that is flanked by slender Doric columns. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 46, 48, and Nos. 52 to 56.
