Description
No. 51 High Street is a building dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is two storeys high with an attic and features a stucco-lined and painted exterior. The roof is hipped on the right and is covered with pantiles. The right portion of the building likely originally had a front gable. On the first floor, there are four flush frame sash windows with glazing bars, two of which on the right have thick bars. The ground floor has an entrance near the centre, with a display window on each side. Inside, there is a cased beam. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 43 to 47 (odd), Peardene, Nos. 51 and 53, and Nos. 57 to 63 (odd).
