Description

Hardy Cottage is a building from 1793 located on the east side of The Buttlands. It is an early 19th-century, two-storey structure made of painted brick. The cottage features window openings with mullion transom casements and has a toothed eaves band. The roof is hipped and covered with pantiles. The entrance is situated on the north side and consists of a six-panel wooden door set within a case that includes three-quarter fluted Doric columns and a trellis porch. Hardy Cottage is part of a group of listed buildings on The Buttlands, which also includes the adjacent Yew Tree House.
