Description
Angus House, formerly known as The Vine Inn, is an early 19th-century building located on the east side of High Street. It is two stories tall and features three near flush frame sash windows on the first floor, which have glazing bars. The exterior is finished in stucco that is lined and painted. The building has a wide eaves cornice and a hipped pantile roof, along with a sash dormer. The ground floor has three altered three-light sash windows. The entrance is located on the south side, featuring a six-panel wooden door within a case that has fluted half columns, a patterned fanlight, and a rounded cornice. There are three flush frame sash windows on the return side at the first floor, also with glazing bars. Angus House is part of a group that includes Nos. 5 and 7, Ancillary Buildings, and Nos. 19 and 23 (odd).
