Description

Number 23 on High Street is an 18th-century building that stands two stories tall. It features two flush frame sash windows on the first floor, which no longer have glazing bars. The exterior is finished in stucco, lined and painted. There is a small early 19th-century shop window with glazing bars, along with a six-panel door that has a patterned fanlight, all set within a wooden case that includes pilasters and a flat cornice. The building has a plinth, an eaves band, and a pantile roof. It is part of a group that includes Nos 5 and 7, ancillary buildings, Nos 19 to 23 (odd), and the Arms House.
