Description

This is a barn located to the north of Northgate Hall, dating from the late 18th century. The walls are made of red brick, and the roof is covered with red pantiles. The barn has five bays arranged in a pattern of 4-1-4-1-4. There are two entrances and honeycomb brick ventilation holes in four locations. A flat brick string course runs along the building and divides into a two-storey gable on the west side. There are two additional string courses and ventilation openings. Inside, the barn features a tiebeam with wind braces supporting the wall plate, along with purlin end irons marked with 'CT', indicating its connection to other barns in Warham associated with Charles Turner, who died in 1780.
