Description
Abbey Farm Barn is a barn dating from the 17th century or earlier. It is constructed from flint with brick dressings and has a roof covered in red pantiles. The barn has three sections and features two different building phases, indicated by a canted angle that marks the division. The right side has flint and brick with re-used stone, while the left side is built with flint and brick, featuring stone quoins. The right gable has a hipped roof, while the left gable has brick kneelers and a brick parapet with a ventilation hole. The roof has been largely rebuilt, but some tie beams, principals with collars and struts, and wind braces from the 17th century still remain.
