Description

The Old Post House is an 18th-century brick house located on The Green in Aldborough. It is a three-bay, two-storey building with a black pantile roof. The facade features a central doorway with a plain doorcase and a 20th-century panelled door. Sash windows are present throughout, with the ground-floor windows set beneath flat, rubbed, and gauged brick arches and soldier arches above the upper-floor windows. Vertical bands of black brick headers run between the windows and across the gable, highlighting the windows and door. The house has internal gable-end stacks and a parapet gable. A 19th-century outshut is attached to the rear.
