Description
Chesterfield House is an 18th-century brick house with a pantile roof, located on The Green in Aldborough. The facade features three bays, two storeys, and an attic, with a brick plinth. The central door, which is from the 20th century, has a surround from the early 19th century that includes fluted pilasters and a 20th-century porch above. The house has sash windows with glazing bars, and the two upper windows have horns. There are also two attic sashes with shaped barge boards on the gables. The right-hand gable has a kneeler and brick coping, along with internal gable end stacks and a platband. Notably, there are remains of an earlier, lower gable that shows tumbling into the right-hand gable. This building is included for its group value.
