Description
The Swan Inn and Town House is a building from the late 18th century that includes a house, a former shop, and a public house. It incorporates fragments of the earlier Trinitarian Priory, which was located immediately to the east. The structure is built of flint with brick dressings and features a thatched roof. It has two storeys, with the facade rendered.
On the ground floor, there are two 20th-century casement windows flanking a door on each side, with the right door set in a timber case. The first floor has one 19th-century casement and two 20th-century casements. To the north is the town house, which has a 19th-century shop front that was rebuilt in the 20th century, featuring glazed panels on either side of the doorway. A domestic door is located to the left, flanked by one late 19th-century horned sash window on each side. The first floor has three 19th-century casements. The building has a gabled roof with three ridge stacks.
