Description

Sun Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of colourwashed brick with a red pantiled roof. The house is two storeys high, with a rear outshut. The rear elevation, facing Church Road, features a ground floor outshut lean-to with two 20th-century casement windows. The main front of the house has one ground floor and one first floor window with 20th-century casements. There are two blocked doorways. A wing to the west is built of flint and has a pantiled roof, as well as a 20th-century door and casement window. The steeply pitched roof has a brick parapet on the east side and a stack; on the west side, the parapet is brick and part rendered, with a large stack suggesting a previously taller roof pitch.
