Description
Hole Farm House is an 18th-century house constructed of brick with coursed flint at the rear and a pantile roof. It has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys high, with an attic and cellar. The house features three bays and five windows. A flint plinth, brick platband, and dentil cornice adorn the exterior. There are internal stacks at the gable ends. The windows and door, which were replaced in 1985, replicate the original designs. The central entrance has a four-panelled door with a rectangular fan light above it, and both the door and the ground floor windows are set under segmental arches. The house has two gabled roof dormers with barge boards supported by brackets. The windows are arranged in a 2:1:2 grouping, all being two-light casements with transoms and glazing bars. The gables are rendered and feature gable parapets, with an eaves course platband. The rear wing has a central axial stack and altered window openings. Inside, the roof is said to be butt purlined with wind braces, and the front range has stop-chamfered beams with ogee stops, along with one reeded fire surround.
