Description
The right gate pier to Manor House and the attached splayed garden wall are 18th-century structures located at the entrance to the Manor House. The gate pier is square and made of rendered brick, featuring recessed semi-circular headed panels on its faces. It has a square stone cap adorned with cyma recta classical leaf moulding, and is topped by a stone griffin's head, which is the crest of the Newman family who owned the manor in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. To the right of the pier, there is a low curved brick wall with a stone cap.
