South wing of very large C16 house arranged round a courtyard to rear, No.10 forming the northern part, now offices. Front block rebuilt late C18. Rendered and colourwashed brick. Slate roof, plain tiled to rear. 2 storeys and dormer attic on plinth course. 4-centred carriage arch to rear set to left and now with entrance doorway. 2 sashes right and 3 to first floor, all with glazing bars. String course below upper windows. Gabled roof raised C20 to sit on former parapet. 2 flat-topped dormers with fixed windows. Internal gable-end stack to south. Courtyard: Former carriageway emerges under a 4-centred chamfered C16 brick arch immediately left of a 2-storey wing forming south range of original court. C20 door in archway. Cross wing rebuilt early C18. C20 details to ground floor. Upper floor with one blind window and one sash with glazing bars. INTERIOR. Little survives save a C18 floral plaster cornice to first-floor front rooms. Roof late C20.
