Description
No. 25, London Road is a house dating to circa 1840, as evidenced by its appearance on an 1846 map but not on an earlier 1830 map. The house is constructed of red brick, with the facade stuccoed. It has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high with four bays. A square porch is located in the second bay from the left, featuring a pair of modified Composite pilasters. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars; the first-floor windows have hoods. A parapet hides a low hipped roof, and there are chimney stacks on the right and left sides. To the left (north) is a square-headed carriage entrance leading to the rear of the property.
