Description

Briar Cottage is a cottage dating from around 1700. It is constructed of clunch with brick dressings and has a red pantiled roof. The east face features one 2-light and one 3-light casement window, along with two 3-light dormers that are set under wedge roofs. On the west face, there are two 2-light casements and one 3-light dormer, also under a wedge roof. The entrance has a boarded door that is sheltered by a pantiled canopy. The south gable was rebuilt in the mid-20th century and there is an external stack at the south end. The north and south gables are finished with simple wooden barge boards.
