Description
The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, originally built as a school in 1837 for Mr. Strickland Neville-Holt, is a notable building located on Hunstanton Road in Heacham. Constructed from coursed ironstone rubble with brick dressings, it features a hipped pantile roof and brick quoins.
The building has a central projecting porch with three bays, which is covered by a continuous lower hipped roof. The central doorway is partially blocked and now contains a shuttered two-light window, flanked by single similar windows, all with brick quoined jambs. On either side of the porch, there are large shuttered two-light windows with brick quoined jambs and segmental heads.
At the top of the roof, there is a five-light glazing bar lantern with a hipped lead roof. To the west of the main building, there are two single-bay parallel ranges, each with hipped roofs. To the east, there is a single bay lean-to featuring a round-headed doorway with a 20th-century door. Additionally, there is a 20th-century garage on the property, which is not of special interest.
