Description
Manor House and Manor Lodge, originally known as Manor Farmhouse, is a farmhouse that has been converted into two dwellings. It dates from the mid-18th century, with additions and alterations made around 1810. The roof is covered with plain tiles, pantiles, and concrete tiles. Initially, the building was one storey with a dormer attic, but it was raised to two storeys with a dormer attic around 1810.
The facade of the Manor House features two sash windows on each floor, each with glazing bars, and the storeys are separated by a flat brick string course. In contrast, the Manor Lodge has three 20th-century casement windows on each floor, all set under gauged skewback arches. There are three flat-topped dormers in the gabled roof, all with 20th-century casements. The building has a central ridge stack and internal gable stacks, with gable heads displaying tumbling; the eastern gable retains the remains of the original gable line and has two blocked windows under hood moulds.
At the rear of the Manor House, there is a two-storey hipped extension from around 1810, along with a later 20th-century cross wing, both featuring 20th-century windows and details. The Manor Lodge has a long outshut at the rear.
