Description

The Grove is a farmhouse with origins in the 17th century and an early 18th-century facade that was entirely replaced around 1960. It features Flemish bond red brick and pantiled roofs, with flint and brick dressings on the north wings. The building has six ground floor and seven first floor sash windows with glazing bars, all set under cambered brick arches. There is an off-centre part glazed door and parapet eaves. The west gable, dating from around 1700, displays brick tumbling, while the east gable, from the 17th century, is made of flint with brick dressings, also featuring tumbling, quoins, and kneelers on the north side. There are two service wings to the north, with the eastern wing from the 17th century and the western wing from the 19th century.
