Description

Ryston House is the former headmaster's house of Downham Grammar School, dating from the 18th century with an early 19th-century wing to the east. The building is constructed of brown brick and stands two storeys high, featuring twin gables on the north side. To the east, there is a buff brick bowed addition that has two sash windows with glazing bars and louvre shutters on each floor. The entrance front faces west and includes an arched doorway along with sash windows that also have glazing bars.
