Description
The Chapel of St Andrew is a scheduled ancient monument located 500 meters west of Barret Ringstead Farmhouse. It dates from the 13th and 14th centuries and is constructed from rubble chalk with stone dressings and quoins. The chapel has a single-cell oblong plan and is currently roofless. The south side features a door opening without decoration, paired stone-dressed double lancets from the 13th century, and a large window opening that is also featureless. The walls rise to eaves level. On the east side, there is a traceryless Decorated window with a gable standing above it. The west gable has an opening, while the north side is blank.
