Description

The stable range located approximately 90 meters southeast of Dairy Farmhouse dates from the 17th century and was remodeled around 1830. It is constructed from shell carstone with red brick dressings and features a hipped roof made of black unglazed pantiles that has been renewed. The building is E-shaped and faces south, consisting of seven bays and two storeys, with gables on the forward wings of bays 1 and 7, as well as on the two-storeyed projecting porch of bay 4. The gable and eaves parapets are capped with gault brick. There is an inserted axial stack beneath bays 2 and 3, and the windows are three-light casements with Gothick heads and stone mullions, surrounded by brick. The wings of bays 1 and 7 have chamfered brick arches that are blocked, with bay 7 featuring an inserted wooden window that matches the rest of the facade. Blank shields adorn the gables, and there is a slit window on the left return of the right-hand wing.

The central porch has a tall brick double chamfered four-centred arch, with small rooms to the left and right that have slit windows on the returns. A Gothick panelled door is located at the rear, along with a brick niche in the gable. Stone niches are present between bays 2 and 3 and between bays 5 and 6 on the ground floor, containing octagonal piers with gargoyles below that have water spouts. To the right of the water spout, there is a canted stone trough with Gothick panels. The central axial clock turret is made of wood and features an embattled bell lantern above, topped with a weather vane. The rear of the building faces the yard and is constructed from carstone, featuring a central doorway, a blocked 17th-century opening to the left, inserted windows, and a gabled addition to the right.
