Description
The Game Larder, located approximately 25 metres east of Ken Hill House, dates from around 1680 and is possibly designed by J.J. Stevenson. This single-storey building features a rectangular plan and a hipped roof, constructed in a Vernacular-Classical style. The walls are boarded, and the roof is slated. It is supported on stones at each of its four corners. The south face has a boarded door and a window fitted with wooden slats to reduce direct light. The north, east, and west sides also have similar slatted windows. The roof includes lead flashings and is topped with a wooden urn that has an acorn finial. The interior retains its original fittings.
