Description
The White Lion Public House is possibly a late 17th-century house, although its front elevation and roof date from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brown brick and features a mansard roof covered with pantiles, along with end stacks. The building has two storeys, each with two mid-19th-century flush frame hung sashes, likely in their original openings. The central doorway is framed by a doorcase with a broken pediment supported by narrow pilasters, topped with an entablature. Inside, there are panelled reveals and a six-panelled door that includes a round-headed fanlight with radial glazing bars. A moulded brick band runs along the eaves height of the gable end.
