Description

Archway House and Homeleigh is a house from the mid-18th century, constructed of yellow gault brick with red brick details. The original roof, which had parapetted tumbled gable ends, was raised in the 19th century and is now low-pitched and covered with pantiles. The building features two gault brick ridge stacks with red brick quoins. It stands three storeys tall, including an upper storey added when the roof was raised. The facade consists of four bays, including a narrower hall and stair bay, separated by red brick pilaster strips and with red brick bands between the storeys and at the original eaves height.

The second storey has three hung sash windows from the 19th century, while the ground floor has four flush frame hung sashes with sixteen panes each, set under segmental arches. The windows are in their original openings, but only one retains its red brick surround. The ground floor also features a carriageway entry and two larger window openings, which have red brick surrounds but are now partly blocked. Above the doorway, there is an original flat door hood supported by plain scroll brackets, with an early 19th-century doorcase that includes a broken pediment and fluted pilasters with an entablature. The entrance has a panelled door.
