Description

The memorial to Ian Wilkinson, located 5 meters south of the nave of the Church of St. Peter, is a Grade II listed headstone dating from 1760. It is made of limestone and features a rectangular shape with a coved set-back top. The memorial is flanked by a pair of Ionic columns that support an entablature, which frames an inscription panel with a segmental head. In the spandrels, there is a crown above a pair of trumpets. At the top of the memorial, a carved cherub is depicted blowing a trumpet while flying through a cloudy skyscape.
