Description
Mill House is a tower mill that has been converted into a house. It dates from the mid-18th century and originally had three storeys, but was reduced to two storeys in 1815, after which two additional storeys were added. The building is constructed of brick and has a circular shape with a noticeable batter at the third floor. A late 20th-century bungalow is attached to the south side of the mill. Each floor features 20th-century casement windows facing the cardinal points. There is a saw-toothed cornice below a 20th-century crenellated parapet. Above the upper windows, tie plates are visible, displaying the letters and numerals "JD 1815," which refer to John Dobbs.
