Description
The Grange Hotel is a house that has been converted into a public house, dating from the early 19th century. It is built of gault brick and features roofs made of black glazed pantiles. The building has a double pile plan and a two-storey south front that consists of three bays. The central entrance is a 20th-century glazed door set within panelled reveals and topped by a semi-circular panelled arch.
A portico porch, which has a flattened semi-circular shape, is supported by reeded columns and pilasters, with the reeding arranged in groups of four. The building also has a fluted frieze. On either side of the entrance, there are tripartite sash windows with glazing bars and gauged skewback arches. The first floor features two additional tripartite sashes and a simple sash window in the centre.
The eaves cornice is made of timber and has modillion detailing, while there is a central pediment above. The roofs are gabled, and the gable heads have concave parapets that rise to internal end stacks.
