Description
The former ice house, now used as a general storage building, dates from the early 19th century and was restored in 1990 by the architects Olley & Haward, with TR Bird as the architect. It is constructed from gault brick and features a thatched roof. The building is single-storey and has eight bays on both the north and south sides, which are separated by stepped buttresses that are diagonal to the corners. The north side has no openings, while the south side includes two arched windows. The east and west returns each have stepped buttresses, with the east side having two and the west side having three. Both returns feature one arched window at the upper level, and the east side has a pair of 20th-century timber doors. The roof is half-hipped.
