Description

Chestnut House is a house dating to 1739. It is built of whitewashed brick, with a pantile roof. The house is two storeys high and features three 19th-century horned sash windows on each floor, with glazing bars and gauged skewback arches below. A moulded brick hood bearing the date 1739 is situated above the doorway, which is located to the right of centre, though now partly obscured by a 20th-century half-glazed porch. The roof is hipped and a ridge stack is positioned to the left of centre.
