Description
Poplars Farm House is a farmhouse that features a 17th century wing as part of a larger house, with 19th century additions. It is constructed from rendered and rough cast brick, topped with red and black pantiled roofs. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys high. The central section is taller and has a Dutch gable on the south side and a curved gable on the north side, which includes a gable stack. There is a brick plinth and plat-bands at first floor level on the south and east sides, which are visible beneath the rough cast. The windows are modern casements from the 20th century. A single storey 19th century gothic brick porch with a battlemented parapet is located on the southwest side. There are lower 19th century extensions to the south, north, and northeast that are not considered of special interest.
