Description
Manor Farm House is a farmhouse that was altered and extended in the early 20th century, but it retains two bays of the original lobby entrance house dated 1666. The building is constructed of red brick and pantiles and has an L-shaped plan with two storeys. The original wing is located to the east. The facade is now symmetrical, featuring a central oval window on the first floor with a square moulded brick surround. Below this, there is a 20th-century window in a blocked lobby entrance. The flanking window openings on both floors have brick architraves and aprons, with flat arches and brick hood moulds. There are inserted windows in the north gable, and a brick oculus is positioned between the first-floor windows. A blocked attic window displays a carved brick monogram in the gable peak. The gable is stepped and features moulded brick kneelers and tie irons. The spandrels of the east oval window contain the date, while the gable monogram with its inscription below is now lost.
