Description
Foulsham House is a late 18th century building located on Market Hill in Foulsham. It is constructed of red brick and topped with black pantiles. The house stands three storeys tall with attics, and features a two-storey rear wing and a lean-to staircase wing. The lean-to, located on the north side, has a curved gable.
The facade consists of five bays, each with sash windows that have glazing bars, flat gauged brick arches, and stone sills. A porch supported by Roman Doric columns, pilasters, and an entablature leads to a half-glazed six-panel door. The building is adorned with a modillion cornice, a parapet, and gable chimney stacks. A sash window with glazing bars is also present in the curved gable. The rear wing includes sash windows with segmental gauged brick arches, corbelled eaves, brick kneelers, and a parapet verge.
