Description
The Laurels is a house built around 1837, constructed of red brick and rendered brick, with a colourwashed finish and slate roofs. It has two storeys and features a lean-to extension at the rear. The front facade includes three windows and a central part-glazed six-panel door topped with a decorated semi-circular fanlight, all set under a gauged brick arch. The ground floor windows are flanked by louvres, while the sash windows have glazing bars and segmental gauged brick arches. A seven-bay verandah spans the front, supported by timber columns, with decorative timber eaves and a slate roof. The sides of the verandah have louvred panels adorned with a fret work guilloch pattern. At the rear, there is a scattered arrangement of sash windows and two battened doors beneath a single segmental brick arch.
