Description
The Old Rectory is a former rectory built in the early 19th century, featuring colourwashed red brick and gault brick with slate roofs. The building is a double pile structure with two storeys and attics, extended to the east with a two-storey front and a single-storey service wing to the west. The double pile section has three sash windows on each elevation, complete with glazing bars and segmental gauged brick arches. There is an 'Italianate' porch on the north side, which includes half-glazed double doors and a semi-circular fanlight above. The taller eastern section, made of gault brick, has a façade with three windows facing east, a plinth, double pilasters at the corners, and a plat band at the first-floor level. The sash windows in this section also have glazing bars, stone sills, and gauged brick arches. The building features hipped roofs with five axial stacks and is included for its group value.
