Description
Church Cottages is a range of cottages from the late 17th century that has undergone significant alterations. The cottages are constructed of colourwashed brick and feature a steeply-pitched pantile roof that is hipped on the west side. They have two storeys and a 'U'-shaped plan. The gables are parapetted with brick tumbling. Most of the windows are casements, with some dating from the 19th century and others from the 20th century. There are chimney stacks located at the gables and off-centre in the north-south range. The building also includes fragments of plain brick pilasters and string courses, along with a gabled wing to the north that has a moulded brick eaves course.
