Description

This early 18th-century house, originally red brick and colourwashed brick with a pantiled roof, has been divided and extended to create three terraced cottages. The house is two storeys high with attics, and includes a rear outshut. The left-hand cottage has one window and a six-panel door with a porch supported by consoles. It features a flat dormer with a casement window and an axial stack at the left end. The central cottage also has one window and a six-panel, part-glazed door with a porch on consoles, alongside a 20th-century flat-roofed extension and a rear dormer. The right-hand cottage projects forward with a catslide roof and a splayed gable, incorporating a 20th-century entrance door and casement window above. This cottage has a rendered brick parapet gable with a stack at the right end and a 20th-century flat-roofed extension to the rear. All windows on the north elevation are sash windows with glazing bars. The roof is a rustic butt-purlin design, utilizing reused and rough pine principals. The building is included on the list for its group value.
