Description
Eade's Mill and Mill House is a water mill and attached miller's house from the 18th century, constructed of red brick with black-glazed pantile roofs that are steeply pitched. The house is two storeys tall and has five bays, featuring sash windows with architraves and glazing bars, and rubbed brick arches over the openings. The central doorway is framed by a wooden doorcase and a pediment supported by console brackets. The building has rusticated brick quoins, a parapetted gable with brick tumbling, gable chimney stacks, and a brick dentil eaves course. A catslide roof extends on the north side.
The water mill is three storeys high, also with sash windows that have glazing bars, and some openings feature segmental heads. There are door openings on the ground and first floors, while the first and second floors have blocked window openings. The mill has brick dentil eaves and parapetted gables, but no machinery remains. Additionally, there is an 18th-century coped brick boundary wall that connects the mill house to the outbuildings.
