Description

Church Cottage is a house dating from around 1700, constructed of knapped flint with red brick dressings and a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and the entrance front faces south. It features an irregular six-window arrangement of two-light cross-casements with segmental heads and brick surrounds. The original windows are located on the first floor to the left, center, and right, while the remaining windows are 20th-century replacements. The left window on the ground floor is blind and painted to look like a window. A central half-glazed door, which is from the 20th century, is located under a hood. The roof is gabled with internal gable-end stacks on the east and west sides, the latter dating back to around 1700. The north side of the house has a five-window range of renewed two-light cross-casements, with a rebuilt wall stack in the center. There is a part-glazed door and a single-storey extension on the right side. The west gable features diaper brickwork and a panel beneath the stack made of moulded brick, which represents the crossed keys of St Peter. The interior has not been inspected.
