Description

Westmoor is a cottage that dates from the late 17th century and early 19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and clay lump infill, which is behind a facing of 19th-century brick. The roof is covered with pantiles. The building features a lobby entrance, although it was originally accessed through a passage to the right of the stack. It has one storey and a dormer attic, with a brick plinth at the base. There are three 19th-century casement windows set under segmental arches, along with three sloping pantiled dormers that also contain casements. The roof is gabled and has a ridge stack. Inside, the timber frame remains intact, with bridging beams that have canted tongue stops. The fireplaces have been rebuilt.
