Description
Silver Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse located on Silver Street in Besthorpe. The building is timber framed with rendered wattle and daub infill and features a thatched roof. It has one storey and a dormer attic. The rear of the farmhouse has two symmetrical doors, with the right door sheltered by a 20th-century porch. There is a mix of 18th-century and 20th-century casement windows. On the left side, there are two gabled dormers with casements and bargeboards that have drop pendants. The right side features two eyebrow dormers with casements. The farmhouse has a gabled roof, with a ridge stack positioned over the left door and an internal stack on the right gable. The west gable includes two drip shelves and one casement window. Inside, the ceiling beams have triple stud stops.
