Description
The bridge and walls to the moat at Attleborough Hall are a significant structure dating from the mid-16th century, with some later repairs. They are constructed from brick and flint, featuring flat stepped buttresses at intervals, particularly on the west side where there is evidence of tumbling. The bridge, located on the south side, has flat buttressed walls and a low arch against the wall. The parapet is topped with brick coping tiles. The west side has undergone extensive repairs in the 20th century. There are gate piers that are square in section, adorned with a moulded cornice and ball finials. Additionally, to the west of the bridge, there is a room within the thickness of the wall, which is accessed through a round arched doorway.
