Description
Twyford House is an early 19th-century house constructed of gault brick and topped with a slate roof. The building has a roughly square plan and features lower service extensions. It stands two storeys high and has five bays of sash windows with glazing bars, all set beneath skewback arches. The central entrance is highlighted by a Roman Doric porch, which is supported by a pair of fluted columns and pilasters that hold up an entablature adorned with triglyphs and gouttae. Additional architectural details include a plain stucco platband, a moulded wooden cornice, and a hipped roof.
