Description

The piggery at Rookery Farm is an outbuilding, likely from the 19th century. It is constructed from re-used limestone ashlar with some flint and has a corrugated asbestos roof. The building features a significant amount of high-quality late Norman carving, including voussoirs with chevron arrises and carved intradoses, as well as shafts decorated with fish scale and chevron motifs, along with intricate geometric designs derived from chevrons. The inclusion of re-used materials is a notable aspect of this structure.
