Description
The stables to Dunham Lodge, built around 1785, are constructed of brick and feature slate roofs. Originally designed in a U shape, the building has been modified with a pair of garages that have lean-to roofs covered in pantiles. The main facade consists of seven bays with semi-circular headed arches and includes two Diocletian windows that are blind and painted. There are three entrances, and a painted brick stringcourse runs along the impost line. The central three bays are slightly advanced and topped with a pediment that has an oculus. The building also features moulded stone and gault brick cornices, as well as blind arcades on the side elevations, and hipped roofs.
