Description

The Baptist Chapel, built in 1824, is a two-storey brick structure with a gabled pantile roof. It features a pair of modified Doric columns on plinths that support an Ionic architrave, creating a porch. There are sash windows on either side of the porch and three more on the first floor, all with glazing bars. Above the entrance, a lunette is inscribed with "BAPTIST CHAPEL 1699." Inside, the chapel has dado panelling and a gallery that was added in 1847, supported by thin turned timber pillars. The upper storey also features dado panelling. An immersible font, installed during the restoration in 1887, is located below the floor, along with bench seating from the same period.
