Description

Poplar Farmhouse is a pair of cottages dating from the late 17th century. They are constructed with a timber frame and have roughcast lath and plaster on a plinth made of brick and flint. The roof is thatched and the building stands two storeys high. The west gable features a thatched gabled porch added in the 20th century. There is a drip shelf at the eaves level and two small casement windows. The north front has a doorway to the left, with two casement windows on the ground floor and two on the first floor. The roof is gabled and has bargeboards, with a central stack. The cross wing to the south has 20th-century windows and roof. The interior framing is mostly intact.
