Description
The Church Rooms, formerly known as Albert Terrace and the Swaffham National School, is a church hall built in 1838 by William Donthorn. The building features a cut flint exterior with brick dressings and slate roofs. It is two storeys high and has a five-window range on the south front, with a central gable above a four-light 20th-century timber window. The other windows consist of top- and bottom-hung casements with glazing bars and gauged skewback arches. The roof is gabled.
The east entrance is divided into two distinct parts. The southern part has two stepped buttresses and a tall arched four-light Perpendicular window that spans both storeys. Above this window is a parapet with a shouldered gable that bears the inscription: "Swaffham National School 1838." The northern part features a 20th-century glazed entrance door with a wide overlight containing six by three glazing bars, and a large three-light casement window above. The roof is also gabled. The interior has not been inspected.
